The short film we watched on the first day of class was an experimental film showcasing  manipulated film strips. I saw designs that looked like they were done with ink droplets, paint, and objects being dragged across the strip. Either the whole film strip was just painted and they ran an object like small blocks through the paint or it was dried and they scratched out designs. Someone just painted the strips in random places with different designs and added certain designs to go in time with the music. The designs going in time with the music really surprised me because I do not know they they would do that in perfect timing. That is a thing I would like to figure out soon.
